The balance

The Payout Index

Nine bookmakers, ordered on how quickly and cheaply money leaves them. Getting paid carries 46 of the 100 points. The game library carries none, which is a declared refusal rather than an oversight.

The table

The rule this table is drawn by

The ledger carries a bookmaker once its cashier is on file: at least one payment rail read off the operator's own Ghanaian pages. Four books trading here are missing because nothing readable publishes theirs, and a ledger does not print entries it never recorded.

Nine bookmakers meet it, four trading here do not, and one brand in these records has left Ghana altogether. Every excluded book is named, with the reason.

Opening an account through a link in this table may pay us a commission. It has no effect on the order, which is computed from the figures printed beside each name.

The Payout Index, 0 to 100 points
# Bookmaker Cash out Floor Rails Model read Index Open an account
1 SportyBet 2 min Reported GH₵1 4 100% 78 Open
2 Wiwi Casino 5 min Reported GH₵1 2 100% 78 Open
3 betPawa 10 min Reported GH₵1 3 100% 77 Open

7 BetFox 15 min Reported GH₵1 3 100% 60 Open
8 Bangbet 1.5 h Estimated GH₵20 3 100% 52 Open
9 Premier Bet 2 h Reported -- 4 90% 37 Open

Floor is the smallest deposit that opens an account, in GH₵. Rails is the number of cashier rows the operator publishes. Model read is the share of the index this record could answer; anything under 60 per cent is not ranked at all.

OP Recorded. Read off the operator's own Ghanaian pages: a cashier screen, a terms clause, a licence footer or its own API.
CP Computed. Derived from a price feed the research pass pulled itself, with the sample size and the date on the record.
RP Reported. Published by somebody other than the operator, or agreed across several pages with no primary document behind any of them.
ES Estimated. Filled in by the research pass rather than found. It is not evidence, and this ledger prints it as a figure under protest rather than as a fact.
-- No entry. Nothing is on file. In this market that is usually a checked answer rather than a gap, and the page says which.

How the index is posted

Each criterion is scored from facts a record actually carries. Nothing is defaulted: where a record cannot answer, the criterion drops out of the average on both sides rather than contributing a manufactured value, and the table prints how much of the model survived.

The model, heaviest first
CriterionWeightWhat it is built from
Getting paid 46 The cash out median on the record, banded against a market where the quickest published figure is two minutes and a full day is a complaint.
Reaching a human 18 Round the clock chat, a phone line, an email address. Weighted towards the phone, because a held payout is a conversation.
Licence and record 14 The Gaming Commission of Ghana register, how many permits the record carries, and a public review score where one exists.
Offer value after terms 12 What a welcome offer is worth once its playthrough is discounted, in cedis rather than in headline percentages.
Deposit floor 10 The smallest amount that opens an account, taken from the cashier rows and the qualifying deposit on any welcome offer.
Game library 0 Not scored here. This publication has nothing to say about a lobby it cannot count.
Total 100 Averaged over the weight a record could answer, then restated on the 0 to 100 scale.

Where this table is weakest

A ledger that only prints its balance is hiding half of itself. These are the rows a reader should treat with the least confidence, named rather than buried.

Rows resting on a figure nobody sourced

Bangbet carries a cash out median that the research pass filled in rather than found, one of them explicitly set to the middle of the market so the record would not read as blank.

Getting paid is the heaviest criterion in this model, so that figure is doing more work here than it would anywhere else on the network. It is stamped in the table and stated again here, because a warning that only appears on hover is not a warning.

two records answer less than the whole model: Betway at 90%, missing deposit floor; Premier Bet at 90%, missing deposit floor.

No bookmaker on the roster fell below the 60 per cent coverage floor, so nothing that passes the rule is missing from the table. That is a fact about how complete the cashier data is, not an absence of a check.

The cash out figures, and what each one rests on

Every median in the table, with its source class
BookmakerMedianSource classWhat the operator publishes instead
SportyBet 2 min Reported instant under GHS 7,500 per transaction
Wiwi Casino 5 min Reported instant
betPawa 10 min Reported instant
MSport 45 min Reported nothing about speed on any cashier row
Soccabet 8 min Reported instant
Betway 5 min Reported nothing about speed on any cashier row
BetFox 15 min Reported in most cases instant
Bangbet 1.5 h Estimated within a few seconds, processed 24/7
Premier Bet 2 h Reported winnings paid within 24 hours of the final result

The wording in the last column is the part that is genuinely first-party. The median beside it is an assembly of what the market publishes, which is why the two are printed together rather than one standing in for the other. The rail-by-rail detail is in the ledger.

Questions about the index

What does a Payout Index of 78 actually mean?

It is a weighted average of the criteria a record could answer, restated on a 0 to 100 scale. It is not a percentage of anything and it is not comparable to a score on another site, because another site weighs different things. The column beside it says how much of this model the record could answer, which is the number that tells you how much weight the score can carry.

Why does the game library count for nothing?

Because eleven of the thirteen lobbies trading in Ghana cannot be counted from outside the country, and two have no casino at all. Scoring the eleven as zero would flatten them together and hand the table to whichever one somebody happened to count. A publication built on cashier rows has nothing to say about a lobby, so the weight goes to the deposit floor, which is the same question asked in money.

Did you time these cash outs yourselves?

No. Nobody at this desk has timed a withdrawal in Ghana, and no figure here came from a stopwatch of ours. Every speed figure is what an operator or a third party published, which is why each one carries a stamp naming its source class. When timings of our own exist they will go into the fact base first and get a stamp of their own after.

Why is a bookmaker missing from this table?

Either its cashier is not on file, in which case the roster rule keeps it out and the unrecorded page names it and says why, or it answered less than 60 per cent of the model, in which case it is not scored at all rather than scored on the questions it happens to do well.
