The largest single-ticket figure published in this market is GH₵1,500,000. The wallet it would have to arrive in tops out at GH₵10,000 a month unless it has been upgraded. Only one of those two numbers is going to matter to anybody.
The ceiling that binds
Bank of Ghana wallet tiers, effective 1 March 2024
A minimum kyc mobile money wallet cannot take more than GH₵3,000 in a day, more than GH₵10,000 in a month, or hold more than GH₵5,000 at once. The monthly figure is the one that actually stops a large payout, and it is the one people try to work around: asking for the money in daily instalments clears the daily ceiling and runs into the monthly one anyway. Upgrading the wallet removes it outright, because monthly value is unlimited above the lowest tier, and takes the daily ceiling to GH₵25,000 at enhanced kyc. These limits are set by the Bank of Ghana and took effect on 1 March 2024.

A blank month at the upper tiers means unlimited rather than unknown. The step from Minimum KYC to Enhanced KYC moves the daily ceiling from GH₵3,000 to GH₵25,000 and removes the monthly one altogether, which is why a KYC upgrade is worth more to a winning punter than any operator's published maximum.

Not the monthly one. The daily ceiling yields to splitting and the monthly ceiling does not, which is the trap: a payout arranged in daily instalments still stops at GH₵10,000 for the month on a minimum-KYC wallet. Upgrading the wallet removes the monthly ceiling entirely, because monthly value is unlimited at the higher tiers.
